Current Construction Projects at Grant Elementary
Grant Elementary School is undergoing several important modernization and construction projects. While these projects temporarily increase the construction footprint on campus, they will deliver new, high-quality learning spaces and gathering areas for students.
Early Education Modernization Project – Renovation of four classrooms into three transitional kindergarten (TK) classroom suites.
Start: Construction began in December 2024.
Completion: Opened August 21 for the 2025–26 school year. The contractor is completing punch list items to close out the project.
Historic Courtyard Renovation – Renewal of the school’s historic inner courtyard while preserving beloved trees and enhancing outdoor learning and community space.
Start: Construction began in June 2025.
Projected Completion: End of October 2025.
Library Renovation Project – Transformation of the existing library and adjacent rooms into a new library and multi-use learning hub.
Start: Construction began in June 2025.
Projected Completion: Start of the 2026–27 school year.
Classroom Building Project – Construction of a new two-story building with seven classrooms and additional rooftop learning spaces.
Start: Construction began in June 2025.
Projected Completion: January 2027.
